In most cases, uninstalling Bark is the same as uninstalling any other app. In this guide, we'll help you with any friction points you encounter when uninstalling Bark.
Uninstall Bark Kids
From a Bark Phone
Your child won't be able to uninstall the Bark Kids app, the Bark Guard Dog app, nor the Bark Messages app from a Bark Phone — which is another reason the Bark Phone is the best phone out there for kids. (If you want, you can allow your child to uninstall other apps from their phone, though! Here's how.)
If you ever cancel your Bark Phone service and own the phone, you can reach out to us to get Bark removed from the phone. This will allow you to use it as a regular Samsung phone.
From an iPhone or iPad
How to uninstall Bark Kids from your child's iPhone or iPad:
Find the
Bark Kids app on your kid's iPhone or iPad home screen.
Tap and hold your finger over the app.
Tap Remove App.
Don't see the option to remove? It sounds like you have to adjust this setting in Apple's Screen Time.
From an Android
How to uninstall Bark Kids from your child's Android:
Find the
Bark Kids app on your kid's Android.
Tap and hold your finger over the app.
Depending on your kid's Android, you either...
tap the Uninstall option that appears,
or drag it over to Uninstall at the top.
You'll be asked for a device code.
On your kid's Android, enter in the device code.
Follow steps 1-3 again to uninstall Bark Kids.
Uninstall the Bark Desktop App
From Windows 10
How to uninstall the Bark Desktop App from your PC:
On your computer, click the ^ menu (by the time on the bottom right).
Click on Bark and select Exit Bark.
Click on 🔎 search on the bottom left.
Search Bark.
On the right, click Uninstall.

Click on Bark and select Exit Bark.

Start on the bottom left.
Select All apps.
Search for Bark in the list.
Right-click on Bark.
Select Uninstall.

From Mac
How to uninstall the Bark Desktop App from your Macbook:
On your Mac, click on Bark on the top right (by the time).
Select Quit Bark.
Click on
Finder in your dock or desktop.
Click Applications on the left.
Select Bark.
Use any of these ways to move the app to the Trash:
Drag the app to the Trash.
Select the app and choose File > Move to Trash from the menu bar.
Select the app and press Command-Delete on your keyboard.

(optional) Remove the computer from the Bark dashboard:
Open up your parent app / dashboard.
Click on your child's profile > Devices.
Scroll down to their iOS device.
If present, click on "I don't use this home computer anymore."
If not present, you may have to wait a little while before that option appears.
That should have cleared any trace of Bark from your computer! If you ever want to set up your kid's iPhone or iPad for monitoring again, you will need to follow the first-time setup.
