If you enable the App Store for your child, it will ask that your kid sign in with a Google account before they can download apps.
When your child tries to sign into the Play Store or other Google apps like Chrome or Gmail on their Bark Phone, certain types of Google accounts may cause issues:
🪁 Supervised accounts: Google accounts with a birthday under 13 or managed through Google Family Link.
🎓 School-issued accounts: Google accounts like
[email protected]may have restrictions set by the school's IT department.

Not all school accounts will have issues. If yours does, you can ask your school's IT department to follow these steps to allow your child to sign in on a Bark Phone.
In the meantime, here's how to switch to a personal Google account:
On your kid’s Bark Phone, open up the Settings app.
Tap Accounts & Backup.
Tap Manage Accounts.
Sign out of your kid's school-issued account.
Tap ➕ Add account.
Tap Google.
Sign in with your kid's personal Google account or create a new Google account.
