How to set up the Bark Phone

Congrats on your kid's new Bark Phone! Here's our quick-start guide.

  1. Whether this is your first Bark Phone or a replacement, it comes with a Bark SIM card already installed! Please keep this SIM card in the phone, as removing or swapping it may cause issues.
  2. On the Bark Phone, press and hold the power button on the top right. (If it won't turn on, plug it in to charge it for a bit).
    🔌 Where's the charging brick?
Samsung no longer includes bricks with their phones as a way to minimize their impact on the environment. You can plug in the charging cord to a power brick or computer you already own.
  3. When the Bark Phone turns on, swipe up to unlock it.
  4. After a few minutes, you should see a Welcome to Bark message along with a QR code.

    🔍 Not seeing this?
You may be in a low reception area. On the Bark Phone, swipe down from the top and make sure Mobile Data is enabled. Then, tap ⚙ Settings on the top right. Tap Connections and connect to your home Wi-Fi. If that doesn't work, restart the device and wait a few minutes.
  5. Now, from your parent phone, scan the QR code.

On your parent phone, review this guide for scanning QR codes on your iPhone or Android.
  6. Along the way, you'll be asked to log in or create an account.
    • If you ordered the watch from Bark's site, log into your Bark account.
    • If you already have an existing Bark subscription, log into your Bark account.
    • If you ordered it from a different site (like Amazon) and do not already have an existing Bark subscription, create a Bark account.
  7. Follow the prompts on your phone to finish setup.
    congrats
