Track exercises and workouts on the Bark Watch (Samsung model)

Start a specific workout like a run or a swim, and the watch records the details for that session.

The Samsung model has Samsung Health built in, so your child can track a specific workout from start to finish. This is different from daily activity and steps, which the watch tracks on its own all day. This article covers workouts your child starts on purpose.

Start a workout

  1. From the watch face, swipe up to open the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Samsung Health.

  3. Tap Exercise.

  4. Swipe left or right to find the workout type, then tap it to start. For some types, tap Start. If you do not see the workout you want, tap Add, then pick it from the list.

Check stats during a workout

While your child is working out, swipe up or down to see details like heart rate, distance, and time.

💡 Heart rate readings may not be accurate for children.

Pause or finish a workout

  • To pause or start again, swipe right, then tap Pause or Resume. Your child can also press and hold the Back button.

  • To finish, swipe right, then tap Finish.

  • After finishing, swipe up or down to see the results.

Swim workouts and Water Lock

When your child picks a water workout like Pool swim or Open water swim, the watch turns on Water Lock on its own. Water Lock keeps taps and swipes from working so water does not trigger the screen by mistake.

  • While Water Lock is on, press the Back button to change the workout screen.

  • To finish a swim, press and hold the Home button to turn off Water Lock, shake the watch to clear out any water, then tap OK.

💡 Swim tracking may be less accurate if your child changes strokes partway, stops before the end, swims with one arm, or swims underwater.

More ways to work out

  • Do several workouts in a row: while working out, swipe right, tap New, then pick the next type.

  • Add your own workout: tap Add, then Create new exercise.

  • Let the watch notice for you: with auto detect turned on, the watch can recognize when your child has been exercising for a while and record it on its own.

  • See past workouts: in Samsung Health, tap Workouts this week.

💡 Samsung Health features are for wellness and fitness only, not for medical use.
