If your kid's Android phone or tablet isn't staying connected to Bark, check these settings.
Find your kid's Android version
On your kid's Android, open the ⚙ Settings app.
Tap on the 🔍 magnifying glass to search.
Search for About phone.
Tap on the result.
Look for the Android version. Then, look for the matching instructions below:
Adjust data saver settings on your kid's Android
Android 8+
On your kid's Android, open the ⚙ Settings app.
Tap Apps (or "Apps & Notifications").
Tap Special app access (may be under "Advanced" or the three dots on the top right).
Tap Unrestricted mobile data (or "Apps that can always use data").
Toggle on Bark.
Lastly, check battery optimization settings.
Android 7
On your kid's Android, open the ⚙ Settings app.
Tap Apps.
Tap Bark.
Enter a device code when prompted.
Tap Data usage.
Toggle on Background data.
Toggle on Unrestricted data usage.
Lastly, check battery optimization settings.
Android 6
On your kid's Android, open the ⚙ Settings app.
Tap Apps.
Tap Bark.
Enter a device code when prompted.
Tap Data usage.
Toggle off Restrict app background data.
Lastly, check battery optimization settings.
Samsung
On your kid's Samsung, open the ⚙ Settings app.
Tap Connections.
Tap Data usage.
Tap Data saver.
Tap Allowed to use data while Data saver is on.
