Manage settings app access for the Bark Watch

Allow the Settings app for temporary changes, then block it when you're done.

To manage whether your child can open the Settings app on their Bark Watch:

  1. On your Bark parent app / dashboard, tap your child's name.

  2. Scroll down to Settings and tap Other.

  3. Toggle the Settings app on or off.

When the Settings app is enabled:

  • It appears in your child's app list.

  • Your child can access many advanced settings, which is why we recommend keeping it blocked by default.

  • Your child can connect to new Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth devices.

When the Settings app is disabled:

  • The app grays out and becomes inaccessible.

  • Any action that would open Settings shows the message "Can't open this app."

  • Your child can still swipe down from the top of the home screen to adjust quick settings like sound, brightness, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. However, connecting to new Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices (or changing advanced settings) is blocked. Enable the Settings app temporarily if your child needs that access, then block it again when done.
