How to save battery on the Bark Watch

Each model has a power-saving mode, and the Samsung model adds a Watch Only mode for extremely low battery.

When the battery is running low, the watch can switch into a mode that uses less power. How you turn it on depends on the model.

Turn on power saving

Samsung model

Power saving mode lowers battery use by limiting some features, including location tracking. It is off by default.

💡 While power saving is on, location updates can be delayed, sometimes by a lot. If keeping your child's location current matters most, leave power saving off. It is best saved for times when battery life matters more than up-to-the-minute location.

To turn it on:

  • Swipe down from the watch face to open the Quick Access panel, then tap the Power saving icon.

  • Or open ⚙️ Settings, tap Battery, then turn on Power saving.

To turn it off, do the same and turn it off.

Watch Only mode

Bark Watch Samsung model watch face with black background, white colored time of 5:53 and a gray battery icon with a red exclamation mark over the top.

Watch Only mode saves as much battery as possible. It shows only the clock and turns off everything else. The watch switches to it on its own when the battery drops to 1%.

While Watch Only mode is on, the watch will look turned off in your Bark app or dashboard. It will not update location, and your child cannot get calls or texts. Once you charge the watch, it returns to normal on its own, which turns Watch Only mode off.

Schok model

Power saving mode lowers battery use by limiting some features, like Wi-Fi connectivity. It is off by default.

  1. Short-press the top side button to open the home screen.

  2. Swipe from left to right to open the apps list, then tap Settings.

  3. Tap Power-saving to turn it on or off.
