Set up app blocking on your kid's iPhone or iPad
Watch this video to learn how to enable app and site blocking on iOS devices. If you'd like some additional tips, follow the step-by-step instructions.
On your kid's iPhone or iPad, install the
Bark Kids app.
Set aside your kid's device for now.
Open up your parent app / dashboard.
Tap on
Account > Device codes.
On your kid's device, enter in the device code.
Allow all permissions.
When asked about location, tap Always Allow or Allow While Using App.
When asked about a VPN, tap Allow. You may be asked to enter your child's lockscreen passcode.
(recommended) Set up location alerts and tracking.
(recommended) Set up Safari monitoring.
(recommended) Use Apple's Screen Time to prevent the app from being deleted.
When you're done, open up your parent app/dashboard to set routines for blocking or allowing apps.
Repeat these steps for your other children's iOS devices.
Kids use a shared iPad?
Create a child named "Shared" (or something similar) to set up that device.Kids have other non-Apple devices?
Get them connected!
How do I know app blocking is working?
Open up your parent app / dashboard.
Tap your child's profile.
Tap Devices at the top.
Tap your child's device name.
Scroll down to Connected via Bark Kids App (VPN) and check the Last Seen Status above it:
