Bark can monitor emails and attachments on connected Yahoo! Mail accounts. If we find a potential issue, you'll get an alert for things like bullying, sexual content, violence, and risky platforms your child signed up for with this email.
Log in to your child's Yahoo Mail.
Click their profile picture in the top right.
Click Manage your account.
If prompted to set up 2-step verification, go ahead and do that first.
Once 2-step verification is set up, select the Security tab at the top of the page.
Scroll down to the External connections section.
Click Create app password.
Seeing "App passwords are not available for this account"? This is a known issue that Yahoo and AOL experience from time to time. Try again in a few days and send them feedback.
Enter Bark as the name and click Generate password.
Copy the password.
Paste it into the password field when connecting your Yahoo account.
🎉 You're all set! The Yahoo account will appear on your child's profile alongside their other connected accounts.
