What your Bark device can handle depends on the watch or phone model.
Bark Phone
Bark Phone
The Bark Phone Pro A37 has a water and dust resistance rating of IP68, while the Bark Phone Pro A36 has a water and dust resistance rating of IP67. This is based on lab test conditions for submersion in 1-3 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. Not advised for extended beach or pool use.
The Bark Phone (A16) has an IP54 rating that makes it water- and dust-resistant, meaning it can handle splashes, spills, and a little dirt.
Older Bark Phones (A13-A15) are not water- and dust-resistant.
Bark Watch (Samsung model)
Bark Watch (Samsung model)
This watch is a Samsung Galaxy Watch8, rated 5ATM and IP68 for water and dust resistance. Samsung rates it for swimming in pools and shallow water. Turn on Water Lock before your child gets in the water. See Use Water Lock for swimming on the Bark Watch.
The ratings come from still, fresh-water lab tests, 5ATM at 50 meters for 10 minutes and IP68 at 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Real swimming is not the same as a lab test, so treat the ratings as a guide, not a depth limit.
āDo not use it for diving, snorkeling, water sports like water-skiing or surfing, fast-moving water, or high-pressure or hot water like a sauna or hot shower.
āAfter a pool or the ocean, rinse it with clean, fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth.

Note: Water and dust resistance is not permanent and may diminish over time due to normal wear and tear.
