Reviewer Management

Severe threats are often time-sensitive, which is why we recommend that an alternate reviewer (like a principal or school psychologist) is added for each school or district.

The Bark Super Admin or OU Admin for your school/district can invite, edit, or remove Reviewers.

Inviting Reviewers

  1.  Log in as the Bark for Schools super admin.

  2. Navigate to the top right drop-down menu and select Reviewers.

  3. To invite a Reviewer, you will choose the Invite reviewer button and input the following information to send an invitation to the reviewer:

    • Email Address
    • Emergency Contact Number
    • Role
    • Groups/organizational units assigned
      • To assign all groups, ensure Access to all organizational units? is On.
      • To assign specific groups, ensure Access all organizational units? is toggled Off and now you can type in the applicable groups.
Assigning a user the top-level organizational unit/group will not automatically assign them the sub-groups, meaning you will need to individually select or type in each sub-group you'd like to assign to the Reviewer.
    • *Super Admin Permission

Super admin permissions allow the reviewer full access all settings and data.
    • *OU Admin Permission

Organizational Unit admin permissions allow the reviewer to manage the settings for those within their assigned organizational units

*Only a Super Admin will see the options to assign a reviewer with a Super Admin or OU Admin role.

All Done! 🎉️

  • Once the invite is sent, the Reviewer will receive an email with a link to activate their account.
  • Reviewers are able to access Bark via bark.us/schools with their school issued account — no additional username or password needed.

Editing Reviewers

Once the Reviewer has accepted the invite, their information will appear at the bottom of the page under the Reviewers section.

  1. To edit a reviewer, click Edit to the left of their profile.

Bark for Schools+ Reviewer Settings

Reviewer Alert Settings

Schools or districts that have purchased the premium Bark for Schools+ service will notice that inviting a Reviewer has more options than the free product. They are able to specify which types of alerts Reviewers get, choose what alerts they receive email notifications for, and choose whether they are an emergency phone contact for urgent alerts.

  • Visible means you will see alerts for that category on your dashboard. The alerts have to be visible for you to receive email notifications or emergency calls for them.
  • Notification (Bark for Schools+ only) will turn on email notifications for the alert type. We will send you email notifications (lower level alerts and severe alerts) for all alerts created in the category.
  • Severe Notification will turn on only severe email notifications for the abuse type.
  • Emergency will turn on text messages and phone calls for imminent threat situations.

Emergency Call Priority

At the bottom of the Reviewers page, they'll also be able to specify the Emergency Call priority when clicking Manage emergency priority, seen below:

Selecting that option will show something like this where you can click and drag the Reviewers into the order of priority that works best for your use-case:
