OnePlus has its own take on Android that it calls Oxygen. In addition to the regular Android battery optimization settings, there are some specific settings you can adjust on your kid's OnePlus to ensure Bark isn't affected.
Newer OnePlus devices
- On your kid's OnePlus, open the ⚙ Settings app.
- Tap Battery.
- Tap Battery optimization.
- Tap the v dropdown menu.
- Select All apps.
- Tap Bark.
- Tap Don't Optimize.
- Then, < go back until you reach the Battery settings again.
- Tap the three dots on the top right.
- Tap Advanced optimization.
- Disable Deep optimization (or "Adaptive battery").
- Disable Sleep Standby Optimization.
- Next, let's search whether this phone has the App Auto-Launch feature in the Settings app. If it does, disable it.
Note: Software updates for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 6 devices can sometimes reset these settings. Remember to double-check these settings periodically. If you're tired of keeping track of all your kid’s settings, try our new Bark Phone — it’s not impacted by battery settings!
