Below we break down what you should do if your Macbook's Bark Desktop App is not opening. For the best instructions, select the specific way your app isn't opening below:
Error: "Bark is damaged and can’t be opened."
- Click on Move to Trash in the error.
- Open
Finder.
- Look for Bark on the left column. If present, click ⏏ Eject.

Other issues or errors
If you are experiencing one of these issues...
- App doesn't open, or opens for a second and immediately disappears

We have created specific instructions for various Mac versions. To find your current Mac version, follow these steps:
- Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen.
- Click on About This Mac.
- A pop-up will appear similar to the one below, telling you which version you are on.
- Then, click on the steps applicable to your version of Mac below:
MacOS 10.14
- Click on the

- Select System Preferences.
- Click on Security & Privacy.
- Click on the General tab at the top.
- Click on the lock on the bottom left.
- Enter the password you use to log into your Mac. This will allow you to make changes to these settings.
- Under "Allow apps downloaded from," select App Store and identified developers.
- Click on the Privacy tab at the top.
- Click on Full Disk Access on the left.
- Now, click the ➕ sign.
- Select Applications from the left column, select Bark, and click Open.
- You can now click the lock again to prevent further changes to your settings.

Bark. It should open now!
