A screen lock asks for a PIN or pattern before the watch can be used. It comes turned off by default.
How to set a screen lock
From the watch face, swipe up to open the Apps screen.
Tap ⚙️ Settings.
Tap Security and privacy, then tap Lock type.
Choose one:
Pattern: draw a pattern that connects four or more dots.
PIN: enter a PIN made of numbers.
Follow the prompts to confirm the code.
How unlocking works
When the lock is on, the watch asks for the code when your child starts using it.
Once your child unlocks it while wearing it, the watch stays unlocked until they take it off. Putting it back on asks for the code again.
If your child forgets the code
Keep the PIN or pattern somewhere safe. The watch's factory reset is turned off for tamper protection, so there is no quick self-serve way back in if the code is forgotten. If your child gets locked out, contact Bark Support for help.
