Whether you’re upgrading or replacing your Bark Phone, you can export text messages and import them into your new Bark Phone.

On the old Bark Phone

  1. On your kid’s old Bark Phone, swipe up to open their apps.

  2. Tap on the

    orange

    Bark Messages app.

  3. Tap the ā‹® three dots.

  4. Tap Export messages.

  5. Name the file something easy to remember and Save.

  6. Next, tap the ā¹ home button to view the home screen.

  7. Swipe up to open their apps.

  8. Tap on the

    My Files app.

  9. Tap Downloads.

  10. Tap and hold over the text message backup file.

  11. Tap Share.

  12. Choose your preferred method to get the file to the new phone, like attaching it to an email, saving the file to your kid’s Google Drive account, or saving it to your kid’s SD card.

On the new Bark Phone

  1. If your child previously used an SD card, remember to remove the SD card from the old phone and insert it into the new phone.

  2. Then, on your kid's Bark Phone, find your kid’s text message backup file (in their email, Google Drive, SD card, or wherever you originally saved it).

  3. Download your kid's text message backup file onto the phone.

  4. Tap the ā¹ home button to view the home screen.

  5. Swipe up to open their apps.

  6. Tap on the

    Bark Messages app.

  7. Tap the ā‹® three dots.

  8. Tap Import messages.

  9. Find your kid's text message backup file and select it.

  10. That’s it! The app will import your kid’s text conversations.
