Airplane Mode is disabled by default on Bark Phone and Bark Watch. This is to ensure that the settings you set as a parent get deployed to the device as quickly and reliably as possible.
In some regions, such as the European Union, Airplane Mode is not mandatory on flights. Therefore, your child can continue using their device while in the air.
In other regions, you can allow your kid to turn on Airplane Mode within your parent dashboard:
New UI
- Open up your parent app / dashboard.
- Tap the Bark Phone or Bark Watch under your kid's Global Settings (whichever applicable).
- Set Allow airplane mode to Yes.
- Then, your kid can enable Airplane Mode:
- On Bark Phone, they slide their finger down from the top of their screen twice and tap on Airplane Mode.
- On Bark Watch, they single-press the top side button, then swipe from left to right, scroll down and tap on Settings > Connectivity > Airplane Mode.
Note: You may have to temporarily allow the Settings app for this
- Once the flight lands, remember to disable Airplane Mode again within your parent app / dashboard.
