Manage Sites & Apps on the Bark Phone™

Allow or Block Apps

From your dashboard, click on the Bark Phone tile and then on Sites & Apps.

When an app is blocked on a Bark Phone, the app becomes grayed out and inaccessible.

Allow or Block Sites

  1. From your dashboard, click on the Screen Time tile and then on Settings.
  2. Tap on Apps & websites.
  3. Use the search bar to find the app or site.

  4. Wait a few minutes for changes to take effect.

Add URL exceptions

If you don't see a toggle for a particular app or site, it's likely covered by a category like Social Media or Games.

  1. Search the website at the top (e.g. "discord.gg") and Bark will show its category.
  2. If that URL is not categorized in our system, you will see the option to add it as an exception:

  3. You also have the option to set how Bark handles future uncategorized sites with the Unknown Sites & Apps category.
  4. Wait a few minutes for changes to take effect.

App Block vs. Category Block

You can block specific apps or you can block all apps and sites within a category.

Our categories cover tens of thousands of apps and sites. If you don't see a particular app listed, it is likely covered by a category rule.

You're also able to block a category while allowing an app within that category. For example, you can block the Social Media category and also allow the Discord app.
