How to reset the default app for links on the Bark Phone

When your child's phone always opens links in the same app, use this setting to make it ask next time instead.

  1. Open Settings on the Bark Phone.

  2. Tap Apps.

  3. Enter your device code to continue.

  4. Tap Default Apps at the top.

  5. Tap Opening Links near the bottom.

  6. Find the app currently set to open the link type you want to change. For example, tap Samsung Browser if it's the default browser, but you want Chrome to open links instead.

  7. Tap Clear Defaults.

  8. The next time your child taps a link that more than one app can open, their phone will ask which app to use. They can pick an app just once, or select Always to set it as the new default.

Want to stop an app from opening links automatically for good?

  • Clear Defaults only resets the current choice — the app can become the default again if your child selects Always next time.

  • To stop the app from automatically opening links at all, turn off the Open supported links toggle on the same screen instead. This keeps the app from handling those links until you turn the toggle back on.
