Check for software updates on your devices

Learn how to update the software on your family's devices.

  1. Open up the Settings app.

  2. Tap Update.

  3. Check for updates and install any available.

  2. Tap Software Update.

  3. Check for updates and install any available.

Apple icon iPhone, iPad, or iPod

  1. Open up the iOS Settings icon Settings app.

  2. Tap General.

  3. Tap Software Update.

  4. Check for updates and install any available.

    Is it a “beta” software update? Bark is not compatible with beta versions of iOS. Consider removing Beta software from your kid's iPhone or iPad.

  1. Open up the ⚙ Settings app.

  2. Tap System or Software Update.

  3. Check for updates and install any available.

Windows PC

  1. Right-click the Start menu, then choose Settings.

  2. Click Update & Security.

  3. Check for updates and install all updates available, including any "optional" driver updates.

  4. Restart your computer.

  5. Repeat these steps again until there are no new updates.

  2. After you're done, click on the Apple iconApple menu on the top left.

  3. Click System Preferences.

  4. Click Software Update.
