Bark Watch calls disconnect unexpectedly

A weak cell signal is the most common reason calls drop on the watch.

If your child's calls end on their own, a few things could be behind it. Work through these, most common first. A couple differ by model.

Common reasons

  • Weak cell signal
Check the current signal strength by pressing the top side button and swiping down from the top of the screen, and move to a spot with better reception. The watch does not support Wi-Fi calling, so it needs a cellular signal.

  • The 30-minute call limit
On the Bark Watch plan, calls end automatically after 30 minutes to help manage usage. This is expected, not a malfunction. Your child can simply call back to keep talking.

  • Low battery
If the battery gets very low, the watch may end the call. On the Samsung model, once the battery hits 1%, the watch switches to Watch Only mode and cannot take calls until it charges. Charge the watch and try again.

  • Restart the watch.
A quick restart clears many temporary issues.

    • Samsung model: press and hold the Home button and the Back button for about 7 seconds.

    • Schok model: press and hold the top side button for about 20 seconds.
