Who can download apps from the app store
Your child's ability to download apps from the Google Play Store depends on your Bark Phone plan.
How to manage texting or the camera
On your Bark parent app / dashboard, tap your child's name.
Scroll down to Settings.
Tap Texting or Camera.
How to allow or block Google Play apps
Don't see the app you're looking for? Your child probably hasn't downloaded it from the Play Store yet. Once they do, refresh this page to manage access or look for an app approval request.
How to remove a Google Play app
Rather than blocking an app, you can remove it from the phone entirely:
On your Bark parent app / dashboard, tap your child's name.
Scroll down to Settings.
Tap Apps & internet > Rules.
Tap the three dots next to the app and select Uninstall.
How to allow or block sites
On your Bark parent app / dashboard, tap your child's name.
Scroll down to Settings.
Tap Apps & internet > Rules.
Allow or block apps for any routine. When you allow or block an app on this list, it also affects any websites associated with that app.
If you don't see what you're looking for, scroll down to Custom Content. Then, Enable access or Block access to enter in sites manually.
Wait a few minutes for changes to take effect.
App block vs. category block
You can block specific apps or block everything within a category, like social media or gaming. Our categories cover tens of thousands of apps and sites, so if you don't see a specific app listed, it's likely already covered by a category rule.
You can also block a category while allowing a specific app within it. For example, you can block the Social Media category while still allowing Discord.
