Here's how to manage SafeSearch and YouTube Restricted mode with Bark:
Open up your parent app / dashboard.
Tap on your child's name.
Under the Apps & internet, find the routine you'd like to edit and tap ✏️ Rules.
Tap the Safe Search shortcut at the top (or scroll down to Safe Search manually) and make any adjustments:
When you turn on SafeSearch:
SafeSearch is locked on Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo.
Search engines without a SafeSearch feature get blocked (like Yahoo).
Explicit content (like pornography) is filtered out of search results.
Keep in mind that Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo control what SafeSearch filters, so some content may still get through. You can add exceptions in your Bark rules if needed.
When you turn on YouTube Restricted Mode:
Restricted Mode is locked on YouTube.
Explicit content (like pornography) is filtered out of YouTube search results.
Comments are disabled on all YouTube videos.
YouTube controls what this mode filters, and it won't be a perfect fit for every family. You can add exceptions in your Bark rules if needed.
