I don't see an app here. Your kid probably hasn't downloaded it from Google Play yet. Once they download the app, refresh this page to manage access or look for an app approval request. If you're looking for system apps, tap the Bark Phone shortcut at the top > Other settings. - Wait a few minutes for changes to take effect.

Delete or Remove an App
Rather than blocking it, want to forcibly remove the app from your kid's Bark Phone? Here's how:
New UI
Coming soon! Keep checking back for updates.
Classic UI
- From your dashboard, tap Bark Phone.
- Tap Sites & Apps.
- Find the app you want to delete and tap the > arrow next to it.

I don't see that button. You have to temporarily adjust a setting! Tap the blue "Settings" at the top and set "Allow app removal" to "Yes." Then, repeat the steps above and you should see the button to remove the app from the Bark Phone. - That's it! Wait a few minutes for the app to be uninstalled from your child's device. You'll still see the app listing on your parent dashboard for about a week before it's removed.
- To set up App Approval, where every app your kid installs will be grayed out until you approve it in your parent app, check your App Approval settings.
- To prevent or allow your kid to uninstall their apps, check your App Removal settings.
Allow or Block Sites
New UI
- From your dashboard, tap your child's name.
- Under the routine you'd like to manage, tap the Block and Allow section.
- Tap Apps & websites at the top.
- Allow or block sites by looking at the apps we've got listed or by selecting Custom Content at the top and entering in sites manually.
- Wait a few minutes for changes to take effect.
Classic UI
Method A:
- From your dashboard, tap the Screen Time tile.
- Tap on Apps & websites.
- Use the search bar to find the site.
-
Allow or block the site.
Why do I see two options for the same site? The top option blocks internet access to the platform, while the bottom option blocks access to the app itself. When in doubt, make both options match. - Wait a few minutes for changes to take effect.
Method B:
If you don't see a toggle for a particular app or site, it's likely covered by a category like Social Media or Games.
- Search the website at the top (e.g. "discord.gg") and Bark will show its category.
- If that URL is not categorized in our system, you will see the option to add it as an exception:
- You also have the option to set how Bark handles future uncategorized sites with the Unknown Sites & Apps category.
- Wait a few minutes for changes to take effect.
App Block vs. Category Block
You can block specific apps or you can block all apps and sites within a category.
Our categories cover tens of thousands of apps and sites. If you don't see a particular app listed, it is likely covered by a category rule.
You're also able to block a category while allowing an app within that category. For example, you can block the Social Media category and also allow the Discord app.
