How to set up in-home filtering

Set up the Bark Home or a router with Bark built-in.

Bark can help you block websites and apps on devices connected to your home Wi-Fi. For first-time setup, select the hardware you're using:

Do I need both a Bark Home and a router with Bark built-in?

No, just one. Here's the difference:

  • Bark Home: A small box you connect to your existing router to block apps and sites on home devices. With a Bark Premium subscription, it can also monitor texts, photos, and videos on iPhones and iPads.

  • Router with Bark built-in: Some routers come with Bark's web filtering built in, so you can use them in place of your existing router for app and site blocking.
