Fix issues with push notifications

If push notifications aren't coming through, check your account settings, app version, and device notification permissions.

If you or your child aren't getting expected push notifications from Bark, work through these steps:

  1. Log in to the app.
    If you're logged out, Bark can't send push notifications.

  2. Verify your account's notification settings.

    • Open up your parent app / dashboard.

    • Tap Account > Notifications.

    • Check your push notification settings.

  3. Ensure the app is up to date.

    • On iOS, use the App Store to check for updates to the parent app or kid's app.

    • On Android, use the Play Store to check for updates to the parent app and use this guide to check for updates to the kid's app.

  4. Verify your device's notification settings.
