"Action not allowed" message on a Bark Phone

This message means an app or feature has been blocked either by your settings or by Bark's automatic protections.

If your child's Bark Phone shows "Action not allowed | Contact your parent for access," it means one of the following:

  • You've blocked that app or feature in your Bark parent app.

  • Bark has automatically blocked it to prevent parental controls from being bypassed (less common).

To fix it, review your Bark Phone rules in your parent app. Changes may take a few minutes to take effect. If the message persists, restart the Bark Phone to apply them faster.
