The Bark Assistant is an AI-powered search tool built into your parent dashboard that helps you quickly find information about your child's activity and make setting changes without navigating through multiple screens.

Note: The Bark Assistant is the AI-powered search tool located within your child's profile. This is different from the support chatbot you may see elsewhere in your dashboard.

How to access the Bark Assistant

  1. Log in to your Bark parent dashboard.

  2. Tap into your child's profile.

  3. Look for the "I'd like to…" search bar.

  4. Type your question or request.

You can also access it directly here when logged into your dashboard.

Getting insights about your child's activity

The Bark Assistant can analyze your child's profile data, including their current routines, active settings, and alerts, to provide quick insights.

Examples of questions you can ask:

  • "Show me the biggest changes in my child's online activity this week."

  • "What apps did my child use the most yesterday, and for how long?"

  • "What issue should I be focused on the most as a parent right now based on alerts?"

Making changes to settings

Beyond providing information, the Bark Assistant can make immediate changes to your child's settings based on your requests.

Examples of actions you can request:

  • "Pause phone for 30 minutes."

  • "Block YouTube and TikTok until tomorrow morning."

  • "Turn on bedtime every school night from 9:00 pm to 7:00 am."

How the Assistant handles your requests

The Bark Assistant is context-aware, meaning it understands your child's current profile settings when processing requests. If your request conflicts with an existing setting, the Assistant will suggest additional changes to prevent any issues.

If the Assistant cannot answer a question yet, let us know! The feature is being updated regularly with new capabilities.
