I got an alert about potential nudity of a minor detected.
What do I do? How do I view the image?

If you receive an alert about an image containing potential nudity of a minor, we display a placeholder since we have to delete the image from our servers. Your next step is to check your child's device right away. Below you will find instructions on getting the information you need to find the image on your child's device and take care of it.

STEP 1: Determine what platform the alert came from.

On the top left of the alert, you will see an icon that lets you know what platform the activity came from, as indicated below.

In this example, the alert came from an iOS device like an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Below is a break-down of what each icon represents to help you determine which device you need to check for the image:

An apple icon on the top left of the alert means it occurred on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.
android_icon.svg A robot on the top left of the alert means it occurred on an Android device.
A laptop on the top left of the alert means it occurred on a Chromebook.
An orange A on the top left of the alert means it occurred on an Amazon Fire tablet.
Google Drive icon.jpg A multicolored triangle on the top left of the alert means it occurred on a Google Drive account
Onedrive A blue cloud on the top left of the alert means it occurred on a OneDrive account
A blue box on the top left of the alert means it occurred on a Dropbox account.

STEP 2: Determine the day and time of the alert.

On the alert, you will see the date and time our system believes the image was saved or captured, as indicated in the example below in two locations.
