"Sorry, we can't activate the device" error when setting up Bark Phone

This error message means that something is preventing you from setting up the Bark Phone. We're happy to help you get past this error and set up the phone!

First aid:

  1. Turn on the Bark Phone if it's not turned on already.
  2. Connect the Bark Phone to Wi-Fi.
  3. Then, try the Bark Phone setup again!

If that doesn't work, let's check if you're signed into the wrong Bark account on your parent phone:

  1. If you're reading this from your parent phone, click this link to log out of your current Bark account.
  2. Uninstall the Bark parent app from your parent iPhone or Android device (we'll remind you to add it back later!)
  3. Then, look for an email from @bark.us titled "Your order confirmation." This email contains the email address you used to create your Bark Phone account.
  4. Log into Bark with that email address.
  5. Then, try the Bark Phone setup again!

  6. Whenever you're done with setup, you're ready to install the Bark parent app on your parent iPhone or Android.
