In August 2024 we released our newest Bark for Schools feature, the OU Admin! An OU Admin can invite, edit, and remove reviewers for the OUs/Groups they are assigned to. This will help Super Admin's share reviewer management with a designated campus official without allowing access to all account settings!
To invite a new OU Admin or update an existing reviewer profile to an OU Admin, you will need to be a Super Admin on the account. If you're not sure who the Super Admin for your account is, please reach out to our support team at schools@bark.us

Bark for Schools+ Reviewer Settings
Reviewer Alert Settings
Schools or districts that have purchased the premium Bark for Schools+ service will notice that inviting a Reviewer has more options than the free product. They are able to specify which types of alerts Reviewers get, choose what alerts they receive email notifications for, and choose whether they are an emergency phone and text contact for urgent alerts.
- Visible means you will see alerts for that category on your dashboard. The alerts have to be visible for you to receive email notifications or emergency calls for them.
- Notification (Bark for Schools+ only) will turn on email notifications for the alert type. We will send you email notifications (lower level alerts and severe alerts) for all alerts created in the category.
- Severe Notification will turn on only severe email notifications for the abuse type.
- Emergency will turn on text messages and phone calls for imminent threat situations.
Emergency Availability
If the reviewer receives emergency text messages and phone calls for imminent threat situations you will also be able to choose if they should receive emergency calls Any Time, During School, or After School hours.
