Screen time protection has been disrupted on the Bark Phone™

If screen time protection has been disrupted on your child's Bark Phone, get connected again by following this guide!

Quick Troubleshooting

  1. Open the bark_kids_app.png Bark Kids app on their device.
  2. If prompted, allow the VPN. Otherwise, the VPN will reconnect on its own.
  3. Tap Check In.
  4. Wait a few minutes and/or restart the device. 
  5. Screen time protection should now have resumed!
Still need help?
  • Check that Always-on VPN is turned on for Bark
    (Settings > Connections > More connection settings > VPN > enter Device Code > ⚙ next to Bark)
  • Wait a few minutes and/or restart the device.
  • Screen time protection should now have resumed!

  • Keep an eye on the protection status under the Screen Time tile in Bark.
  • Spot-check the phone for any third-party VPN apps.
  • Consider enabling App Approval to prevent the child from installing third-party VPN apps.
